Third parts are notoriously difficult in films. If things haven’t been planned out from the start they feel like horrible cash-ins, where that once fresh and original idea has long since milked dry. At best you ignore them, deny they ever existed. At worst, they kill off all the enjoyment you had in the series. The Dark Knight Rises is Christopher Nolan’s final part in his Dark Knight trilogy. Will Nolan give us the ending we want? Will Batman get the send off he deserves? Read on and find out. Continue reading

The Dark Knight Rises is almost here. Exactly one week to go. This where things become unbearable. In the meantime, let’s keep the hype-machine ticking over my covering everything released of the last few days. Continue reading

You may remember I wasn’t very kind about the latest The Dark Knight Rises poster. But that’s enough of my moaning because with a series of new banner posters promoting the IMAX release of the film,Warner Bros. have excited me again. Let’s take a look.

You don’t need me to tell you The Avengers has been HUGE. A billion dollars box office in NINETEEN days. To put that in to perspective, it took Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight six months to reach the billion dollar mark. Marvel/Disney are dancing all the way to the bank, but what happens now? It’ll be three years until Avengers 2 if we’re lucky, what shall we do in the meantime? Worry not, Marvel has some plans (apparently)… Continue reading

Things have been a little quiet on the Man Of Steel front lately. This is what happens when films go into their lengthy post-production phase. Luckily for us, though, a recent effects sizzle reel was shown to folk at a VFX industry event. This sizzle reel just so happened to contain some footage from Zack Snyder’s new Superman movie. Sadly there was no leak of the actual footage, but we’ve got the next best thing – a description of the action from a pretty reliable source. Wanna read all about it? Then join us after the jump.
